meet the team
name: sally h.
YEARS YOU'VE BEEN RIDING: Started the summer of 2014 - basically because Elizabeth forced me.
YEARS WITH TVP: Three wonderful years.
FAVE RIDING BEV: Coors Light, pretty much anything with vodka in it, H2O, and Scratch.
ADVICE FOR TVP'17: Split a beer vs down a whole one at the TVP SAG stops.
name: Christina D. (Xtina)
YEARS YOU'VE BEEN RIDING: Starlord was my first road bike and we’ve been together since July of 2015.
YEARS WITH TVP: This is year two!
FAVE RIDING BEV: I am a fan of old fashioned water, but lately getting into the Nuun tabs.
ADVICE FOR TVP'17: I know that a cold beer makes everything better after any amount of time on the saddle.
name: Jane d. (Janie-poo, crazy jane, The janiac, pope jane pahl)
YEARS YOU'VE BEEN RIDING: Five years; I won a road bike Spring 2012 at the Ride the Rockies Route Announcement Party. Started riding that summer so I could participate in the first PTP. It turns out my legs were built to cycle because during the bike fitting I found out my femurs are long.
YEARS WITH TVP: I'm an OG.
FAVE RIDING BEV: Beer (mostly Budweiser or Coors Extra Gold) and hot gin!
ADVICE FOR TVP'17: Have fun, drink beer, and there's no shame in taking the sag wagon. Although, i'm happy to say I haven't taken it yet; this year may be the first since i haven't had the proper time to train...oopsy. That saddle is going to hurt.
FUN FACT: Jane created the first and subsequent TVP logos!
name: keith G. (beer man)
YEARS YOU'VE BEEN RIDING: Approximately 25 years or so. I was around when mountain bikes didn’t have shocks - yikes.
YEARS WITH TVP: This is my fourth PTP ride and second with TVP.
FAVE RIDING BEV: Cold water and NUUN tablets - the Tri-Berry is pretty tasty. Post ride - nothing beats a cold beer (or two, three…).
ADVICE FOR TVP'17: Take in all of the farm stops; the locals are great and you’ll learn things you didn’t know!
name: andrea b. (DRE)
YEARS YOU'VE BEEN RIDING: Riding a road bike for five years, but riding bikes my whole life!
YEARS WITH TVP: This is year two.
FAVE RIDING BEV: I like Scratch or Nuun for riding, and then definitely a cold brew or some champs to celebrate a long ride!
ADVICE FOR TVP'17: Obviously stretching is crucial to prevent injury, and it helps those legs feel fresher for the next day, but it also creates an opportunity for mindfulness and reflection.
name: Mary M.
YEARS YOU'VE BEEN RIDING: Three
YEARS WITH TVP: I'm a newbie; just joined PTP 2017 and am excited to get out on the road with everyone!
FAVE RIDING BEV: Nuun electrolyte tablets or my patented half water, half Gatorade mixture. Also, beer.
ADVICE FOR TVP'17: Stay hydrated and eat all the carbs.
NAME: Mark c.
YEARS YOU'VE BEEN RIDING: Mountain kind since the 90s and tried out roadie stuff in 2009. Don’t make me choose.
YEARS WITH TVP: I'm a junior.
FAVE RIDING BEV: From Golden so the Coors products are a favorite. For hydration H2O and “Sport Legs” pills help me get up the hill.
ADVICE FOR TVP'17: The Ag stops are part of the fun and make PTP special. Say thanks to sponsors and the kids from FFA.
YEARS YOU'VE BEEN RIDING: Just started this hobby about a year ago, in preparation for a half Ironman. I’ve logged quite a few miles in the last year however.
YEARS WITH TVP: Call me “FuNuGy", - I am a rookie to the team.
FAVE RIDING BEV: Roctane or Skratch. Of course, that all changes at the end of the ride. Beer…dark as night and strong like bull.
ADVICE FOR TVP'17: Its all a new journey, I look forward to “drinking” it all in as we explore Eastern Colorado!
YEARS YOU'VE BEEN RIDING: Roadbike - 3 years.
YEARS WITH TVP: Freshman
